1. What is your special training or background? Is it ongoing?
2. How do you train your newest workers?
3. Do you have a certified workforce?
4. What is your guarantee or refund policy?
5. How do you handle special requests?
6. Do you provide written estimates and how long is the price good?
7. Will you provide me references of projects like mine?
8. Do you have proof of insurance?
9. Who licenses you or what type of licenses do you hold to do this type of work?
10. When will you start and how long will the job take?
11. How often is your mower blade sharpened?
12. How do you handle accidents?
13. How do you handle changes during the project or contract period?
14. Do you offer Integrated Pest management (IPM) or all-over treatments?
15. Can I talk to the owner of the company if I want to?
16. Where is the closest office and can I visit you there?
17. Do you have other clients in my area?
18. Who will I talk to when I have a question or a problem?
19. When will you call on me to make sure everything is going OK?
20. Has your company ever been bonded for the type of work?
If the company you hope to hire has trouble answering any of these questions, interview another company.
